Honeycomb Herringbone

This might be the “perfect” knitted dishcloth. It’s a simple pattern that looks great on both sides. The fabric is thick, but not dense or stiff. The texture is great for scrubbing, but the cloth will wring out and dry quickly.

I love this dishcloth and I am attempting to make it. How do I yarn over and then hold the yarn in back while slipping purlwise? Doesn’t the yarn need to be in front for a yarn over? Am I missing something?

    Susan-
When you work a yarn over, bring the yarn over the needle to the front, then pass it under the needle so that it is in the back of the work again. The only critical part of a yarn over is that your bring the yarn over the needle. You can leave it in front or pass it to the back depending on what you need to do next.
