The only critical part of a yarn over is that your bring the yarn over the needle. You can leave it in front or pass it to the back depending on what you need to do next. Susan-

How do I yarn over and then hold the yarn in back while slipping purlwise? Doesn't the yarn need to be in front for a yarn over? Am I missing something?
